CESARE VS DISORDER

São Paulo [BR]

Cesare Marchese is an Italian artist based in Brazil. A versatile DJ, creative producer-composer, sound engineer, A&R, and the mind behind Serialism Records.

His journey started in the 90s in Milan, then he spent nearly a decade in London before relocating to Berlin, a city that projected him even further into the global electronic music map. There, he held residencies and regularly played at institutional clubs such as Watergate, Kater Holzig, Weekend Club, Club Der Visionaere, Wilde Renate, and Hoppetosse. In parallel, his career took him across the globe, performing at legendary venues like Fabric (London), Rex (Paris), Womb (Tokyo), Fuse (Brussels), S.A.S.H (Sydney), Sankeys (Ibiza), Arma17 (Moscow) and major festivals including Detroit Electronic Music Festival, Winter Music Conference Miami, ADE Amsterdam, Off Sonar Barcelona, Tomorrowland Belgium, Strawberry Festival China, Kazantip Ukraine, and Episode Festival Vietnam.

Cesare's discography is extensive and multifaceted, not only under his own name but also through different aliases - Azimute, Queen Atom, Cez, Strangers in Heaven, and Sircactus. His music has been released on iconic labels such as Ninja Tune/Big Dada, Cocoon, Bpitch Control, Transmat, Crosstown Rebels, Get Physical, Bedrock, as well as a wide range of underground imprints including Vakant, Watergate, Dumb Unit, Rawax, Nervmusic. And, of course, through his long-running label Serialism Records, which has been a reference point in the club industry for over 18 years.

Throughout his career, he has received enduring support from legendary figures such as Loco Dice, Enzo Siragusa, Jamie Jones, Maceo Plex, Ricardo Villalobos, Raresh, Seth Troxler, Dixon, Craig Richards, Derrick May, Marco Carola, Adam Beyer, Lee Burridge, Tale Of Us, Ellen Allien, Damian Lazarus, Richie Hawtin, Magda, Ratier, Dennis Cruz, Luciano, Tini, Franco Cinelli, Ivan Smagghe, John Digweed, Ralf, Ben UFO, among many others.

Now based in São Paulo, he continues to leave his mark on Brazil's nightlife as a resident DJ at the iconic D-Edge Club and a regular presence at the country's top events. At the same time, he composes soundtracks for films, TV series, shorts, and documentaries, many of which have been selected and awarded at prestigious international film festivals.

Cesare holds an eclectic and obsessive musical background — from classical piano and live drums to his deep passion for jazz, bossa nova, neo soul, electronica, dub, drum & bass, and trip/hip hop.
