Romania has quite an extensive history with minimal house and techno. One of the latest additions to this legacy is Mihai Pol and he is now stepping into the spotlight. Mihai burst onto the scene in 2016 and since then his discography has evolved at a pace all on its own. No two 12-inch records sound alike - from the sputtering acid of ‘Synkop’ to the dreamy, rolling house textures of ‘Tango’. Following his work as a producer, Mihai works equally on the mind and the body in his role as a DJ; “I like to make people dance and feel good, but I also try to tell a story, so it’s something in between” says Mihai. Fast forward to the present and we see him traveling the world’s underground venues and festivals, with pit stops on every continent.
